Hook-driven, memorable and concise, Josh’s songs reflect a rich emotional spectrum from rambunctious party anthems to evocative ballads.
Raised on a Northern California horse ranch, camping, Motocross, and shooting came naturally. “Everything in my heart is country,” he says. He acknowledges the West Coast legacy of Buck Owens, Merle Haggard and Dwight Yoakum. “Country that is a little edgy,” he says. “I’m proud to be from California, but I have always wanted to be in Nashville. Southern values fit me.”
But first he moved from the ranch into the heart of Hollywood — certainly not the most common course for a rising country artist. Josh says that he prefers the singular path. “I heard one time that if you want to be successful in life, you have to walk on your hands. I don’t do what everybody else does.”
Josh hit the ground running when he moved to Tennessee. As a songwriter, he is now collaborating with a notable roster of hit makers. “I am on Music Row, writing and producing everyday,” He says. “I feel so privileged being connected to these writers. The first day I was in a writing room, I could hear Carrie Underwood singing through the walls in the next room. I am so honored to be here.”
Edge, vitality and authenticity, with a solid community of fans, a road tested resolve and a shared loyalty to his collective musical truth, Josh Paige has witnessed hundreds of towns in the rear view mirror. What lies ahead will certainly be the most auspicious of destinations.
